Oisix Hong Kong is the first customer start use the integrated transportation to handle fresh food from Japan.

It is hereby notified that Yamato Logistics (HK) Ltd. under the YAMATO HOLDINGS (Headquarters: Hong Kong, Chairman: Kakikawa Yoshiki, hereinafter referred to as “Hong Kong Yamato”), expands the cold storage at its Kowloon Bay base in Hong Kong (license: 2851800046*1) , Oisix RA Daichi Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Oisix RA Daichi”) “Oisix Hong Kong Limited” (Headquarters: Hong Kong, Chairman: Takahashi Daiju as “Oisix Hong Kong” Since 1^st May 2019 as the delivery base of “Oisix Hong Kong”*2 is to provide transportation services for fresh food imported from Japan.

Background

As the world’s first importer of Japanese agricultural products, the use of cold chain services to produce fresh food and Japanese Sake has increased by 12.7% compared with 2018, enabling everyone in Hong Kong’s catering industry and supermarket can taste and purchase all types of food from Japan. Along with this, consumers’ awareness of food safety is gradually increasing. Since 2011, Hong Kong Yamato started the local small parcel cold chain delivery service, it needs to be delivered under the temperature control to consumers. In addition, for the distribution of alcoholic small parcels, Hong Kong Yamaha has obtained the quality approval for alcohol distribution in November 2016*3, and in May 2017, it has obtained the international standard “PAS1018″*4, and started use Yamato Natural Air-Cargo The following: “YNA”*5 in July 2017 as an international cold chain delivery, and we have been working to establish a cold chain network in Asia.

Oisix Hong Kong launched the “Oisix Hong Kong” service to provide Japanese food, agricultural products and processed products to Hong Kong consumers since December 2009. Since July 2017, the “YNA” service has been promoted between HANEDA CHRONOGATE and Hong Kong International Airport. On the other hand, Oisix Hong Kong is according to their own safety standards, it needs to enhance warehouse requirements for storing and transporting the agricultural products and processed foods what imported from Japan, therefore, the establishment of high-quality cold chain delivery services has become an urgent issue to achieve the goal.

In order to solve this problem, Hong Kong Yamato has started the international integrated cold transportation service by using the expanded Kowloon Bay base with an area of about 300 square meters as a refrigerated warehouse.

※3 wine transportation quality certification:

Quality certification for wine transport issued by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). Certification is divided into storage, transportation and retail sectors, storage and transportation are divided into ordinary wines and fine wines.
